Why everyone keeps coming back.

对岸茶馆 • Dui An Kopitiam is a charming Chinese restaurant nestled in the heart of Kampung Baru Balakong, Selangor, that effortlessly captures the authentic flavors and vibrant spirit of traditional Malay-Chinese kopitiam culture. This cozy eatery is a hidden gem for those craving hearty local favorites served with genuine warmth.

Renowned for its standout Panmee, this dish emerges as the crown jewel here—no surprise that patrons like Wendy Tee hail it as “the best.” The silky egg noodles are perfectly cooked, accompanied by a flavorful broth and fresh, well-prepared toppings that dance on your palate. Alongside this, the wantanmee is another beloved choice, boasting chewy noodles and delicate wontons, though a minor note from a guest about hygiene reminds diners to always trust their instinct. For those with a sweet tooth or appreciation for local breakfast treats, the 烧面包 (toasted bread) paired with a robust cup of kopi is nothing short of satisfying—the rich, aromatic coffee varieties, especially the “Kopi kaw kurang manis,” have earned sincere praise for their bold yet balanced flavor.

The dining atmosphere at 对岸茶馆 • Dui An Kopitiam is inviting and nostalgic, evoking the laid-back charm of old-school Malaysian kopitiams where locals gather to enjoy simple, comforting food. Despite occasional slow service due to limited staff, guests like Roger Roger commend the staff’s efforts to improve, enhancing the overall dining experience. Late-night diners seeking a welcoming spot for a satisfying meal will find solace in its warm, unpretentious setting where every plate feels like a heartfelt offering.

Whether you’re captivated by the savory bowl of wantanmee or craving the signature panmee accompanied by a smooth glass of iced kopi, 对岸茶馆 • Dui An Kopitiam promises food that feels both deeply familiar and wonderfully authentic. It’s a place where every bite tells a story of heritage and passion, making it a must-visit for lovers of traditional Chinese Malaysian cuisine.
